Bison on the Plains

"Bison on the Plains" inspired by the incredible Alberta bison. Every time I go out west I look forward to seeing these amazing animals. While you can see them on ranches, spotting them in the wild is a completely different experience and something not many people get to witness. Their strength, resilience in the cold Alberta winters and quiet but large presence made me want to capture them on canvas. 

Painted in bold, vibrant colours and expressive brushstrokes, this original acrylic painting reflects my love for bright bold colour while capturing the power and beauty of one of Canada's most iconic animals.
